Welcome to Ian Snow Ltd

All Ian Snow products are made by small producers in small factories, workshops or workers homes. Our products are made using natural materials and often incorporate waste materials in the true traditional Indian way! By buying these products, we are providing an income to some of the poorest members of Indian Society and keeping their traditional handicraft skills alive.

Ian Snow started his business selling from a trestle table in Machynlleth market in 1977. After spending 2 years living in Varanasi, Utar Pradesh and India as a young man, he returned to the UK with some items to sell to finance his next trip back to India. So the cycle began.

Ian has a deeply rooted love of the coutry, it's people and their culture and stull spends a minimum of 8 weeks every year visiting suppliers. Of course, the trestle table grew to become a shop, and then another shop, and then to wholesale for other shops.

The business now employs 20 people and recently became a BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops) recognised importer.
