Good Guides - Fair Trade

The “Fair Trade” Good Guide tag identifies products which support the principles of Fair trade. Fair trade is a social movement and market-based approach to alleviating global poverty and promoting sustainability. The movement advocates the payment of a fair price as well as social and environmental standards in areas related to the production of a wide variety of goods.  The Fair Trade tag also includes products which have been certified by independent organisations, including Fairtrade-labelled products certified by the Fairtrade Foundation and products sourced by or from organisations certified by  WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation www.wfto.com ) or BAFTS ( British Association for Fair Trade Shops www.bafts.org.uk)
